Description: The Parcels data set is a thematic layer depicting current real property parcel boundaries within Snohomish County, Washington based on the legal descriptions contained in the assessment roll. Parcels in this data set are defined as real property entities that can be valued for the purpose of collecting taxes. Parcels include, but are not limited to land, buildings on leased land, mobile homes and condominium units. Parcels may overlap. Parcels such as condominium units and mobile homes that may occupy a single polygon are represented as non-planar features (regions) of the same geographic extent. The Parcels data set does not depict legal ownership boundaries nor does it represent legal building lots. Snohomish County does not maintain parcels for the complete geographic coverage of the county. There is no parcel fabric in much of the eastern mountainous area.

Description: VALVE_ID: Unique alphanumeric identifier for each valve, prefix based on City assigned section, renumbered 1-17, from north to south. Valves preceeded by an "R" represent disabled valves that have either been removed or abandoned and no longer exist.ORDER_ID: Allows the dataset to be sorted appropriately with alpha characters.EDIT_DATE: Date the feature was last edited.ADDRESS: Full first line of the address.ADD_NUM: House number of address.STREET: Street name.LOCATION: Historical pre-GIS field for physical location before XY coordinates. No longer used.OFFSET: Assists in the symbolization of the valve clusters for paper map printing. Set the symbol with an offset based on the direction of this field.TURNS: Number of turns needed to close or open the valve.ANGLE: Historical field from AutoCAD, no longer used.OLD_ANNO: No longer used.INSTALLED: Install date of the valve.PIPE_TYPE: Material of pipe that valve is connected to. This is historical and not always used any longer. See adjacent main material for up to date info.VALVE_SIZE: Size in inches of the valve.VALV_FUNC: General function of the valve, usually MAINLINE, FIRELINE, or DOMESTIC. No fire hydrant foot valves, those are maintained as part of the Hydrant point asset.FLOW_DIR: Historical field from paper cards, gives a general idea of the flow of the main.PRES_ZONE: Pressure zone, not up to date, historical field.POSITION: Position of the valve, opened or closed.END_TYPE: Typically FL x MJ.VALVE_TYPE: Typically gate valves, GATE-RSEAT. NOTES: Notes fieldOPERATOR: Valve operating nut, typically SQUARE.VALVE_MANU: Valve manufacturer, not always updated, from historical database.LOC_NOTES: Location notes to assist in finding the valve.V_MODEL: Valve Model (if any recorded).DEPTH: Depth of valve.CARD_TYPE: No longer used.ENABLED: 0=FALSE 1=TRUE. Disabled valves either no longer exist or are turned off.MAIN: Main ID that is associated with valve.GPS_UPDATE: TRUE if the valve has been GPS'dGPS_DATE: Date of GPSGPS_WHO: Person who GPS'dELEVATION: Historical Z values for some valves.
Description: The hydrant's footvalve is included in this point asset, with information contained in each hydrant's data. The footvalve is not represented in the VALVE layer or anywhere else.
Description: PIPE_MAT: The material the water main is constructed from. Commonly newer ductile iron (DI) or older cast iron (CI) or a copper service.DATE_EDIT: The date the feature was last edited in GIS.Enabled: Used for the retirement or abondonment of the mains as well as the creation of a geometric network.JURISDICTION: Normally EDMONDS, but can also be Fireline, Domestic, or a Private or other jurisdiction main.OVERLAP: Old way to symbolize lines to show non-connectivity at intersections.ROUTE: Street nameADD_START: Address number startADD_END: Address number end (if any)MAIN_SIZE: Diameter of the water mainYR_INSTALL: Project year or the year the main was installed.YR_RETIRE: The year the main was abandoned or retired. Only accurate to the current date, any future date is just a placeholder.ZONE: Pressure Zone (not updated recently). To most accurately see what mains are no longer in use (abandoned) use the YR_RETIRE for any date. Null values will be for active mains only.
